The Project is located in an existing industrial building in the municipality of Lajas. A 22.00 square foot concrete building with a particular structural system. The work consisted of designing the new health center for the Migrant Health group, a non-profit corporation that provides medical services to the community in general. This clinic has areas for family doctor, generalist, pediatrician, dentist, mental health, pharmacy, vaccination, and laboratory. An ordering and contrast of areas was carried out taking as guidelines the  existing structural frameworks and the need to accommodate their different medical services. The result created a linear arrangement, where all the different uses take their place depending on the level of privacy required and service relationships for each space. The project is separated into two zones: the commercial area with the pharmacy and the medical services area. The conceptual idea of the project was to conceive a mixed-service health clinic, connected by a central corridor, but without losing perspective on the sense of privacy that a medical services program demand. These spaces are designed with the ability to allow natural light, creating open spaces without losing privacy. That is why the private areas are contained in crystalline rooms with protective sheets, which act as physical barriers to separate the different uses, while at the same time allowing light to reach different layers.
